okay so I used to play the flute when I was younger, around 3 years ago.. and I gave up because well I became a typical teenager and just never had time and just eventually gave up.. I've just decided today that I want to start up again after seeing some video's on youtube and realising how much I could achieve! however im missing a vital (I think it's vital?) part of my flute! - im missing the very end of the mouth piece that connects to the tuning cork? here's a picture of what im missing;

my mum can't find out that I've lost it and it's been missing for like 3 years so there is like zero chance of finding it. will it cost much to replace? where can I get one from? or even better whats that part even called?! my flute is a Emerson if that helps?

please help me?!
thanks.

That is called a crown. You can buy them for fairly cheaply I believe, and there are also some fancy ones that are about $450, but you certainly don't need that. It really isn't a big deal that it's been lost, as a lot of people lose them, and they're easily replaced.

That's what you need. You don't need one with the little stone, but I figured I'd list more than one option. Plus, they're kinda pretty. :P

Try getting a new flute from Musician's Friend for one hundred bucks - it's been done before; a $300 flute for $100. It'll be tinny and yeugch, but if you're desperate, you'll probably find one.

Try going to the place where you got your flute, or ordering in your piece from the company... hmm...

Hey, I don't play flute but I would recommend you to go to a local music store and ask them about it or better yet ask a teacher at your school that can teach flute
