What can you say about vampires?

Question

Really, this is not another Twilight question, I am asking for opinions about vampires in general... And, can you please include sites that provide vampire information? I need it for my story, Vampire Heiress. I mentioned it here, although I wasn't as detailed as you might want in to be.

there's a lot of different takes on vampires.

for example, in twilight, stephenie meyer made up a whole different tale of vampires. alot of people completely disagree and think that that's not how vampires are. but there don't even how a vampire is. i guess that you could make up your own vampires and make them special.
