What's going on right now is different from both previous World Wars. In both of those wars we had a defined enemy and true allies. Now, our previous allies have their heads in the sand hoping that if they can't see the terrorists, the terrorists can't see them. Our enemy is not just one nation, our enemy is individuals and small groups who want to murder, maim and torture in the name of jihad. We can't tell the good guys from the bad guys.



I wish that we could build a really tall wall around the Middle East and let them alone - we could trade goods for oil but that's it. Let them have their sacred Saudi Arabia, let them have their desert - I don't want it.
